Relearning to dress —a little like learning to love after falling out of it

The debut collection of Ready To Wear garments is our ode to the classics and garments that stick with us. With the covid-19 blues, I spent my 6 months glued to the yellowed pages of my mothers photo albums.

Admittedly all I wore this year were my sleeping suits but I got to dream about what to pair with our made to measure suiting once our city reignited. Day to day life is uncertain, I like the garments I reach for to stabilise my restless nature. A shirt I can count on, a comfortable tailored trouser that allows me to move, a jacket that grows me out of moments of imposter syndrome, soft coloured knitwear for Melbourne's transient weather and a baggy t-shirt that reminds me where the day started.

This collection of shirts has been informed by conversation and fitting obstructions my Melbourne and Sydney clients face shopping off the rack. Our Tailored shirts are impeccably pattern made and sewn in Melbourne. The Tailored Shirt style comprises of my favourite design details, a covered centre front placket, double cuff and enough room across the centre back to move, dance, lift and carry.

This covid-19 capsule Ready To Wear collection matches our shirts with with cotton shirting boxer shorts, bowler shirts, cotton crew neck jumpers, cotton cricket vests and summer caps, mixing the brand’s tongue-in-cheek approach to sartorial expression with refined cuts of luxurious fabrication.
