All fittings and appointment bookings are conducted at The E Nolan Dressing Room.

One hour will be allocated for your first fitting. Emily has limited appointments per week so first in best dressed.

Your own made-to-measure pattern is personally drafted based on your full body measurements. We have our in-house try on garments, which allow Emily to assess figuration, posture, and stance. Our try on garments also assist with decisions surrounding how you like your clothing to fit on the body. We currently have made-to-measure try on garments that range from a 4- 24 that we use as a fitting tool. If your body measurements are outside of this range, that is completely fine, we make clothes for everybody. There may be an extra step in the process, but this is of no cost to you.

The design process is filled with details. Emily pattern makes in-house, offering a variety of styles and garment details to choose from. We have samples of different lapels, pockets, linings, buttons and more. Em is here to help with decision fatigue. Have fun, have a play. We have selected 600+ beautiful different fabrics from Italy, United Kingdom and Japan for you to choose from.  Em will guide you through the variety of swatches of wools, cottons and linens on offer. Click here for more information about fabrics. 

Payment is taken in full, upfront upon the conclusion of the first fitting. For pricing information click here. Production does not commence until payment is complete. If there is a delay in payment, your order may be subject to delays and result in an adjourned second and third fitting.

1 hour is allocated for your second fitting. We will contact you to organise a time for your second fitting between 7-8 weeks after your first fitting. 

At the second fitting, you will be able to try on your almost completed garments and make additional tweaks and adjustments. It is best to bring along some shoes you might find yourself frequently wearing at work or out dancing to ensure your desired trouser length is correct.

We do not outsource any of our alterations, performed in a timely manner in-house in our workroom on the second floor above The Dressing Room.These alterations are included in our service.

30 minutes is allocated for your final fitting. The time frame between the second and final fitting is roughly one week.

We offer express services (48 hour turn around) for interstate and international clients. This way you can take your completed garments within a singular trip to Melbourne. Please specify that you require express when we reach out so as we can schedule this in our workroom.

We are very proud of our patterns and of our garments. We have specifically created your pattern from scratch so we know the seam allowance and alterations possible if there is a build change and require your garments to be made smaller or bigger. As an existing E Nolan client you will be able to make an appointment to have your garments mended in-house at The Dressing Room. We do not make a profit out of this service, we just pass on the cost of our time to complete the alteration. It is important to us that you can get the most wear out of your E Nolan pieces.

For our interstate / international clients we can offer an express service so you do not need to visit us for a Third Fitting in a separate trip. This means the time between your Second and Third Fitting can be conducted in the one trip to Melbourne. The workroom can complete the  Second and Final Fitting within 48 hours with our express service. Please let us know when booking if you require this so we can book the work in our inhouse workroom and work with our production schedule. Our express service is an additional cost of $110 as this work becomes a priority service. We also can offer to post your garments to you. We charge out to you the cost of shipment with insurance coverage.

Please remember that your invoice must be paid after the first fitting in full, before work on your garments commences.

An invoice will be sent after the conclusion of your fitting. This can be paid using credit / debit cards or direct bank transfer. Please note, for our made-to-measure garments, we cannot start work on your garments until payment is received in full. If there is a delay in payment, your order may be subject to delays and result in an adjourned second and third fitting. By paying your invoice, you are confirming the details of your order with E Nolan.

Please note that our new location of 125 Oxford St is wheelchair accessible via a lift. Please let us know and we will send you the accessible entry instructions, and/or ensure staff are available to assist. There are disabled parking spaces available on Stanley street. Trams on nearby routes 11, 96 and 86 are usually low-floor. Low-floor trams have allocated spaces for passengers using wheelchairs or mobility aids.

Late Arrival To Appointment

Please contact us with as much notice as possible if you will be more than 15 minutes late to the appointment. Due to our busy schedule, please be aware that a late arrival will likely cut into your allocated appointment time.

Additional Appointment Guests:

If you and your friend/partner/colleague/other are both interested in a Made-to-Measure fitting, please specify and we will book a group first fitting. This will allocate additional time to the appointment so you both can enjoy the full fitting service. 

If you wish, you are welcome to bring company you to your appointment. Children and baby friendly.

Unfortunately The E Nolan Dressing Room is no longer a pet-friendly space due to the building's body corporate and leasing agreements. Service and Registered Assistance Dogs are absolutely welcome to attend the appointment with you.
